In League of Legends, Mordekaiser has seen some changes over the last few years, including an attempt to make him a non-traditional bot-laner, but he feels out of place. League of Legends’ Mordekaiser rework has been announced for a while, but now, the developer has given us our first look at the champion’s new abilities.
League of Legends Mordekaiser Rework
There are several notable changes to his kit, including to his Ultimate Ability. His ability to conjure ghostly versions of the champions (or dragons) that he helps to kill is set to change.
Mordekaiser’s new ultimate, Realm of Death, lets him take on a champion of his choosing in a one-on-one battle to the death and that is going to be quite exciting for players who prefer to show off their solo skills. The complete list of new abilities is below:
Darkness Rise (Passive)
Mordekaiser’s basic attacks deal bonus Magic Damage. Darkness Rise deals damage to nearby enemies after three spells or attacks against a champion. It also gives Movement Speed until Mordekaiser is out of combat.
Mordekaiser does bonus damage to a single enemy by slamming down his mace.
The Evil Overlord absorbs 25% of damage taken and damage dealt. Casting once generates a shield while a second cast consumes 50% of the shield for health.
Death’s Grasp (E)
Morde gains a 25% increase in Magic Penetration as a Passive Ability. Activating it drags enemies towards you with a claw.
Realm of Death (R)
Banish a single enemy champion to the Death Realm for a 7-second one on one fight so you can steal a percent of their core stats. Killing an enemy will result in his soul being absorbed, keeping their partial stats until they respawn.
